(And yes, I am holding off on the big questions -- statement of purpose and scope.  We still have some "big picture" side discussions ongoing, and when these are resolved we may have greater consensus on the big questions.  Or maybe we won't.)

So as to refocus the discussion and get these two questions dealt with I have updated the Anticipated Audience page by including a spreadsheet for the various audience types along with their definitions:
I've tried to include all the feedback received on this thread and be reasonably verbose (eg specific) with the titles and definitions; let me know if I've got it wrong or if there's anything I've missed. Unless there's more commentary this round it's over to you for the next question(s).
