Subject: Nomination for Chair of OSLC Lifecycle Integration Core (OSLC Core) TC

I would like to nominate Arnaud Le Hors
[1],[2] from IBM as OSLC-Core TC chair.
For those of you that do not know, I
am the current chair of the OSLC Core Working Group at http://open-services.net/workgroups/core/
and have been a member of that WG since its inception. I believe
that Arnaud would make an ideal chair with his experience and leadership
style. I plan to continue to be very active in the OASIS TC and work
closely with the chair to ensure the success of this TC and all other affiliated
OSLC TCs.
Here is a brief bio about Arnaud's accomplishments
and qualifications that might help for those who don't know him:
Arnaud Le Hors, as IBM Software Standards
Architect, has been working on open standards for over 15 years, both as
a staff member of standards development organizations (SDO) such as W3C
and as a representative for IBM. Arnaud has been involved in every aspect
of the standards development process. This includes the technical, strategic,
political, and legal aspects, both internal and external to an SDO and
to a company like IBM. Arnaud was involved in the development of standards
such as HTML, and XML. He has held different roles including specification
editor and chair. Arnaud has also been involved in open source projects,
such as Xerces, the XML parser developed by the Apache Software Foundation
for which he was one of the lead architects. Arnaud is currently Linked
Data Standards Lead at IBM and chair of the W3C Linked Data Platform WG.

Inviting nominations for Chair of OSLC Lifecycle Integration Core (OSLC
Core) TC
Sent by:
<oslc-core@lists.oasis-open.org>
To all prospective members of the OSLC TC:
The first order of business at the first TC meeting is
to elect a chair (or two co-chairs). If you are interested in serving as
a Chair or in nominating another individual for the position of Chair,
you are welcome to make that candidacy known prior to the first meeting
by posting a note to the TC's e-mail list expressing your interest and/or
intent along with a brief statement of your or their qualifications. The
meeting will also accept nominations from any qualified persons before
beginning the vote.
Please be aware that prospective members must join the
TC no less than 7 days prior to the first meeting in order to participate
in the meeting and vote on for TC Chair(s). To join the TC, go to the TC's
web page at http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/oslc-core/
and click the "Join This TC" button.
