it seems to be a mis-translation,
and should be "multiple-acquirers".

The PROMCODE Interface Specification contains this sentence:

"Especially  when  used  for  providing management data for 
mulcarriersuirers, the same tool can be used without customizaton because 
no specific data conversion is required."

mulcarriersuirers is not a word. What is it supposed to be?
