Steve, Thank you for the nomination, and I will be willing to serve again as a member of the PKI MS Steering Committee. Inserted below is a short biography outlining recent/current activities. In my prior government career, I represented the Social Security Administration as a member of the Federal PKI Steering Committee. I had been a board member of the PKI Forum before the Forum moved into OASIS. John ------------------ John Sabo is Director, Security and Privacy Initiatives for CA, providing leadership in the use of CA technologies in trusted infrastructures. He is an appointed member of the Department of Homeland Security's Data Privacy and Integrity Advisory Committee. In June 2005 he also completed seven years of service as a member of the Information Security and Privacy Advisory Board (ISPAB), a federal advisory committee managed by the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Mr. Sabo also represents CA as President of the International Security, Trust, and Privacy Alliance (ISTPA); board member and Vice President of the Information Technology-Information Sharing and Analysis Center (IT-ISAC); Chair of the IT-ISAC Policy and Technical Standards Committee; member of the Homeland Security Policy Task Force and Privacy Subcommittee, U.S. Chamber of Commerce; and co-Chair of the PKI Technical Committee, OASIS. He also serves as Secretary of the ISAC Council, an organization of major ISACs in the United States and serves on the OASIS PKI Member Section Steering Committee and as Vice Chair of the OASIS PKI Technical Committee. Prior to his work in the private sector, Mr. Sabo was Director of the Social Security Administration's Electronic Services Staff and recognized as a leader in the development of e-government services. In that capacity, he directly addressed online security and privacy policy and operational issues. He also served as co-chair of the Government Council, a committee of the National Automated Clearing House Association's Internet Council, and as co-chair of the Internet Council's Certification Authority Rating and Trust Task Force, which published the "CARAT Guidelines" on PKI policy issues.
