IPv6 Summit 2004 registration
is
now open!
You are invited to join the
leaders
and early adopters at the US IPv6 Summit 2004,
the
premier event for the New Internet. The US
Internet
Protocol version 6 (IPv6) Summit, will be held
at
the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Reston, Virginia
(see www.usipv6.com)
on December 8-10, 2004, with a tutorial and a
security
workshop on Dec. 7. This conference is a major
opportunity
to get an overview of the New Internet,
together with
transition strategies, business opportunities
and
strategic teaming introductions. The location
is attractive
and is convenient to the Pentagon and the
Washington,
D.C. airport.
Our expectation is that the US
IPv6
Summit 2004 will be the largest IPv6-focused
event
ever held in the Western Hemisphere, and will
mark
a turning point in IPv6 adoption and
innovation, building
on the momentum of our successful IPv6 summits
in
San Diego (June '03), Arlington (Dec '03), and
Santa
Monica (June '04). While there have been about
three
dozen event on IPv6 worldwide over the past
five years,
none has had this level of US government
participation
to date, and at the Summit new programs will be
announced
that open entirely new possibilities for those
with
expertise and passion for IPv6.
This exciting and informative conference on the
New
Internet will have a world-class line-up of
speakers
and procurement executives from the Department
of
Defense and Industry, as well as product
developers,
IT managers and marketing and investment
community
executives. Revenues from the new products and
services
for the New Internet are estimated at well over
a
trillion dollars over the next decade - and
many of
the key decision makers and pioneers will be at
this
conference.
Keynote speakers will include Dr. Charles
(Chuck)
Lynch (Chief of the Dept. of Defense IPv6
Transition
Office); Dr. Vinton Cerf (recognized worldwide
as
a father of the Internet), and John Osterholz
(VP
of BAE and formerly Dir. of Architecture with
the
CIO of the DoD).
An exhibits area will allow you to get one to
one
consultation and updates from leading companies
in
IPv6 hardware, software, services,
connectivity, and
training, including but not limited to Spirent
Federal,
Northrop Grumman, Lucent, Nortel, Nokia, SI
International,
IP Infusion, Booz Allen Hamilton, Foundry
Networks,
Sunset Learning, and WareOnEarth.
Recent sponsors of IPv6 Summit, Inc.
events have included
Hewlett-Packard, Cisco, Microsoft, IBM, Sun,
Alcatel,
NTT/Verio, Ixia, Nortel, Nokia, Ericsson, NEC,
Hitachi,
Spirent, Charmed Technology, and other leaders
in
Internet innovation. Anyone who wants to
benefit from
the New Internet - with IT services and
hardware,
VoIP, RFIDs, communications, wireless and
manufacturing,
to name a few - will be there. You should be
there,
too!
You have probably heard of the booming interest
in
the New Internet because of its dramatic
improvements
in security, multimedia transmission, support
of Internet-enabled
consumer electronics and defense systems, and
wireless
and mobile gaming capabilities, as well as
recent
announcements by the American and other
Departments
of Defense (that they're switching all Internet
operations
over to this new standard) and support by major
vendors
such as Microsoft, Intel and Sony. The theme of
this
event is Making the National Transition to
IPv6. Distinguished
presenters and panels of VIPs will discuss the
business
opportunities for the New Internet, practical
case
studies of IPv6 applications, and successful
transition
strategies.
The worldwide trend in IPv6 support is
continuing,
with European and Asian governments
accelerating their
schedules to replace the existing Internet
protocol
(in use since 1983).
Please put these dates, Dec. 7-10, 2004 on your
calendar.
You can get a more complete description of the
Summit
and register at www.usipv6.com.
In addition to the presentations on December
8-10,
there is also an optional tutorial and IP
Security
session on the 7th; space is limited, so
register
early! Sponsorships are available for a limited
time
(they have sold out for all three recent
events) and
include exhibit space, passes, marketing
tie-ins,
advertising for your company (both in the
brochure
and in hundreds of thousands of mailings), and
a 20
minute presentation opportunity to the Summit
audience.
We thank you in advance for your consideration
and
support - and for forwarding this invitation to
other
individuals and companies who might want to
attend
the United States IPv6 Summit - see you in
December!
