Subject: RE: [plcs-dex] Classification of type and individual
Les,
Excellent points but as you know once a product is in
the hands of an owner, he/she is liable to change the config to suit there own
personnel requirements without recording this fact. It is only when an accident
occurs and product liability raises its ugly head does the owner wishes he/she
hadn't fiddled with the delivered
config.
To
answer Sean's question re Royal Engineers.............been ex aircraft
REME tiff and having carried out local modifications to our felt vehicles to
enable better stowage for our aircraft kit etc I will always remember the
bo****ing from the VEHICLE REME WO Tiff for modifying without
authority.
The overall answer is that a seamless process
enables all users to utilise the product within ITS specification without
harm to user and the surrounding environment.
