Proposal for new OASIS template: Task

It has been suggested that there should a level of governance applied to the OASIS templates.

One aspect of this is managing the creation of new OASIS templates.

It would be useful if the TOG oversaw this to ensure that the template is necessary and appropriate for an OASIS template and does not overlap with existing OASIS templates.

To start the process it has been suggested that prior to creating a template:

An issue should be raised on Sourceforge to detail the template the TOG should be notified of the template.

All subsequent work done to that template would be tracked against the Sourceforeg issue.

Ideally the TOG would then review the proposal – however at this stage the proposed process serves simply to inform the TOG of the template creation.

So … to start the ball rolling … and to provoke some discussion …

It is proposed to create the Task template.
This should have the same scope as the DEXlib template: representing_task_simple

The description of the task is:

Description
The Task template describes how to represent a simple task specification. A task specification is a procedural description of how to do something. A simple task specification has a simple, unstructured definition, and may also identify the context in which it is used. More complex tasks are described in the various task capabilities.
