I had a brief contact with MIMOSA in year 2 of PLCS, Inc. Basically they are focused on data exchange between/from machinery Condition Monitoring equipment. This obviously has an overlap with PLCS but it comes from a different perspective and does not have the powerful PDM, task specification and resource management capabilities that AP239 now offers.

I attach an Evangelical note from the MIMOSA president that I downloaded at the time. Interesting to note they are using XML. There is an opportunity for further harmonisation/mapping of the two standards if anyone has a business case for doing this. The boundary between human and machine activity get ever harder to define.

Does anyone know anything about MIMOSA? As I understand it, MIMOSA is a specification language (they are claiming some success for asset and life cycle management). Does it fit or conflict with PLCS? Any information you can provide will be appreciated. Thanks

All,

The draft meeting agenda and the commitment matrix has been posted under the folder Meeting Notes / Meeting 6. Member organizations are requested to fill out your proposed commitments and be prepared to discuss resources in Oslo.

Any comments or suggestions for improvement should be sent to kreilerc@mantech-wva.com.

Hope to see everyone in Oslo.
