I am delighted to announce that we have received the proof copy of AP239 from ISO, and made the necessary corrections before returning it to ISO for publication.  So, the actual publication is imminent.

 

Our next telecon is set for  1 September as previously agreed.  You should ahve received notification of a further update to the agenda, to which I would like to add a brief discussion of the GEIA-927 initiative, which is now promoting an integrated information model which claims to comprise AP212, AP233 (not yet written), AP239 (DIS version at best) and the DoD logistics model, along with subsets that look suspiciously like DEXes.  It is important for us to engage this effort and utilise the available resources to avoid major competition.

 

For our next face-to-face meeting in September, Tor Arne has suggested that the Technical Oversight Group meet during the afternoon of 28 September and the morning of 29 September, with the TC meeting in the afternoon of 29 September only.  I believe this will work if we manage our reporting of progress and circulate reports in advance, then focus on the key issues raised by the TOG.
