Subject: FW: Transatlantic PLCS/10303 meeting Feb 15-16 2006
Please find attached for your information details of a US DoD meeting to develop a roadmap for moving forward with PLCS in the maintenance community. At a quick count, seven of the TC members have been invited. I think this represents a tremendous opportunity to build on projects like ELITE (details should be available after 1 January) and the proposed Atrmy deployments Howard Mason -----Original Message----- From: James_H_Clark@Keane.com [mailto:James_H_Clark@Keane.com] Sent: 21 December 2005 22:08 To: Wilbert.Bailey@dla.mil; Jim.George@ManTech.com; Gilbert@SIKORSKY.COM; Donald.Hall@dla.mil; RAJohnson@SIKORSKY.COM; Jeff.Powell@ManTech.com; Michael.Wadley@us.army.mil; thomas.warner@boeing.com; steve.georgevitch@boeing.com; mike.addison@defence.gov.au; Nigel.Billington381@mod.uk; AD-CTS-DCMS@ukncb.mod.uk; patrickcurry@btconnect.com; dfe@lyngsoesystems.com; michael.groom@standards.org.au; laurence.hall@mod.uk; scott.huxtable@defence.gov.au; daniel.kimball@dla.mil; Scott.Koster.ctr@osd.mil; Mason, Howard (UK); andrew.mckay@standards.org.au; tracey.price@defence.gov.au; Renner.MJ@forces.gc.ca; fsharkey@uc-council.org; andrew.smith@js.pentagon.mil; UKNCB-1a1-Policy/TechSvcsTeamLeader@mod.uk; wayne.threlfall@defence.gov.au; matt.wiles112@mod.uk; merrill.yee@osd.mil; mats.elgh@fmv.se; fedegarcia@fn.mde.es; ils-de@a.dii.mod.uk; tai@sfk.mil.no; gordon.ishammar@eurostep.com; raj.iyer@us.army.mil; tmk@lsc.co.uk; John.Nyere@osd.mil; ils-dm@a.dii.mod.uk; nigel.shaw@eurostep.com; rtorralbop@agredwas.org; carl-johan.wilen@saab.se; william.g.baker@navy.mil; michael.breckon@navy.mil; Kyle.cornell@pentagon.af.mil; Thomas.dills@pentagon.af.mil; GayDS@NAVSEA.NAVY.MIL; john.gunselman@pentagon.af.mil; gordon.hearnsberger@us.army.mil; allen.miller1@us.army.mil; morganbb@hqda.army.mil; dana.price@navy.mil; Joseph.Spruill@navy.mil; Thomas.Underwood@wpafb.af.mil; dianna.woody@hqda.army.mil; Jerry.Beck@osd.mil; ronald.edmunds@dla.mil; ellen.hilert@dla.mil; Greg.Kilchenstein@osd.mil; MaysJL@nswccd.navy.mil; David.Pauling@osd.mil; bbates@ndia.org; Curt_J_Garcia@raytheon.com; Jeffrey.w.geear@boeing.com; chollest@RockwellCollins.com; Don.lofton@L-3com.com; Susan.pucelik@honeywell.com; Abby.rothman@lmco.com; mrowland@SIKORSKY.COM; Nat.russhard@rolls-royce.com; Renates.Stanislovaitis@ae.ge.com; Ann.stansbarger@ngc.com; evelyn.p.thompson@lmco.com; ctobin@bellhelicopter.textron.com; larry.trowel@ae.ge.com; Dennis.e.warner@rolls-royce.com; david.ziff@pw.utc.com; Coy_T_Best@Keane.com; lynn.butler@ngc.com; James_H_Clark@Keane.com; judy.critzer@ngc.com; Lydia.Dawson@osd.mil; stephen_g_ford@Keane.com; Robert.Leibrandt@osd.mil; charles.lord@navy.mil; bruce.propert@hqda.army.mil; pam.rooney@wfinet.com; Leantha.Sumpter@osd.mil; maxwell.westmoreland@ngc.com Subject: Transatlantic PLCS/10303 meeting Feb 15-16 2006 *** WARNING *** This mail has originated outside your organization, either from an external partner or the Global Internet. Keep this in mind if you answer this message. Good afternoon, The UID Program Office would like to invite you to participate in a two-day meeting we will be hosting on February 15-16, 2005 in Rosslyn, Virginia, focused on sharing information and lessons learned on recent PLCS/ISO 10303 activities, understanding how PLCS Data EXchange sets (DEXs) can support both industry and defense business operations, and then use breakout groups to explore the Aviation, Sea, and Land data exchange environments. One of the major outcomes of the meeting will be a roadmap for moving forward with AP239 in the maintenance community and to ensure more effective use of the available resources within cooperating countries. We have developed an information paper with a number of links and briefings included to provide preliminary information and points of contact regarding the use of ISO 10303 AP239 Product Life Cycle Support (PLCS) within the defense communities in advance of our February meeting. The document can be downloaded from the following link (note: the document is rather large so the download may take a few minutes): http://www.acq.osd.mil/dpap/UID/registrysupport/testing/paper/info-paper .htm The following documents are attached to this email: 1) A draft agenda for the meeting 2) Hotel information and directions for the meeting location (Northrop Grumman TASC facility in Rosslyn, VA) 3) An initial roster of invitees Please RSVP to me whether or not you plan on attending once you know - we will be monitoring the size of the audience. Alos, please send contact information for anyone else that you believe we should invite. If you have further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. As we develop more information, I will be communicating with the group. Thank you, James Clark Senior Principal Consultant Keane Federal Systems, Inc.
