Subject: RE: [pmrm] Groups - PMRM - Discussion Comments and Recommendations uploaded

Dear PMRMers –

These detailed comments from Diana and Gail bring out

excellent points that were observed by lengthy work-through

of Use Case(s).

The higher essence of the observations:

    - A completed Use Case is needed, start to finish through the

       PMRM Methodology, that is:

o comprehensive enough to fully flex the Methodology (a ‘real’ use case)

o able to be extended/altered to other related Use Cases in the organization

o yet, amenable to a “simple” presentation, exploiting graphic and other

modeling and demonstration tools, so that a wider audience (executives, non-privacy professionals)

can appreciate the methodology and results

    - Need to develop ROI arguments for the decision makers; Why invest in such Methodology?

    - Exploit existing/related technologies/methodologies in the privacy community;

eg, our relationship with the PbDSE TC.

    - Positioning of the PMA in the Methodology: ‘spiral’; ie, iterative refinement

Recall that we did a complete pass-through of the PMRM Methodology

with the Do Not Track (DNT) use case (papers in the doc archives).

But, the DNT use case is too simple from a Methodology viewpoint,

but not from a political and policy selection viewpoint (out of scope for PMRM).
