[provision] Ratified PSTC Charter

Based on last weeks email vote, as of today draft-charter-01 published to the list above has been ratified. We’ll update the PSTC site with this copy and notify fellow TC’s of this event.

A committee member did raise a concern with me directly about holding votes by acclimation over email (issues around message delivery etc). On the basis that the charter had been well discussed on the list (and I believe constituted a “low contention issue”) I was happy to leave the process running as was. Moving forward, the committee may want to consider passing a motion clarifying this. I’m thinking of something along the lines of:

“All PSTC committee votes conducted by email shall require a participatory mail notification of for/against from each committee member” and bind this with the existing timing and general email voting provisions.

I’ll add an agenda item to this effect for the next meeting.
