I have a different view on above point. The registry does normatively 
defines a content cataloging feature that is specifically designed to 
define how to extract metadata from content and automatically submit it 
to registry when the content is submitted to the repository. Of course 
it does not preclude any other means to do so but our sub-team's 
deliverable should use make content cataloging the center-piece of any 
solution that requires generating metadata from content.
