Subject: BIEs and Multiple Context Categories
Team, On CCTS p.21 it describes an example in which a BCC called "Invoice. Tax. Amount" is used to create a BBIE called "Invoice. VAT_ Tax. Amount". It states: "The invoicing Business Process is using Invoice. Tax. Amount in a specific Business Context where the Business Process Context = Purchasing, and the Geopolitical Context = EU." My question is: How can we represent this "multiple context category" scenario in the registry? That is, which of the above 2 context categories (or both?) really resulted in the creation of the Property Term "VAT_Tax" for the BBIE from the Property Term "Tax" of the BCC? I believe the CCTS spec is silent on this mechanism. The steps could be as follows: (1) User creates "Invoice. Tax. Amount" BCC (2) User classifies "Invoice. Tax. Amount" BCC according to Business Process Context, classification node "Purchasing" NOTE: It appears that the "VAT_" prefix would not apply here, because we don't yet know the geopolicital context. This means that a classification according to context category *does not always* have to result in a change in 11179 data element terms! (3) User classifies "Invoice. Tax. Amount" BCC according to Geopolitical Context, classification node "EU" NOTE: It appears that the "VAT_" prefix would apply here, because we now know the geopolicital context. Thoughts? Thanks, Joe
