I assume you meant "multiple inheritance of ClassificationNodes" and not "multiple inheritance of Classifications"

ebXML Registry does not directly support multiple inheritance of ClassificationNodes. A ClassificationNode currently may inherit from only one parent ClassificationNode. We plan to allow multiple parent ClassificationNodes sometime in the future. As a workaround today, you can have two different ClassificationNodes under each parent and then use a "EquivalentTo" Association between the two ClassificationNodes to indicate that the two are semantically equivalent.

Please let us know if this work around is adequate for HL7 use cases for ebXML Registry V3.

"We need multiple inheritance of classification nodes.  For example "Colon Cancer" is both a GI Disease and
a Malignant Neoplasm (cancer).  Colon cancer still is one concept and must have the same children and
relationships whether or not you get to it throughout the GI Disease hierarchy or the Cancer Hierarchy."
