I apologize for saying this in advance since I usually despise wordsmithing requests, however... is it possible that the term "Constrained Vocabulary" can be used rather than "Controlled Vocabulary"? IMO - that makes it easier to grok a Schema Constrained instance vs. a MIG constrained representation of an instance (the latter for EDI). UDEF capable application vs. UDEF class of application?
