I find David's answer unhelpful.  Is this an allusion to hierarchies 
such as are presented on 
<http://www.kimbly.com/cgi-bin/diamond/HierarchicalCategorization>?

As a means of presentation such a representation might be useful.  However,
as a way to organize Semantic Content in the repository, it is unnecessarily
primitive.  Besides, we have already discussed this, and the issue is
moot given agreement to support Semantic Content at least as expressive as
OWL DL. Can someone explain how this fits with yesterday's presentation?

Yesterday, the term facetedClassification was used to describe what sounded 
like intelligent querying of the repository.  But it was quite unclear what
characteristics distinguished this kind of query.  It seemed to have 
something to do with broadening or narrowing the terms.
