Subject: meeting minutes

Hello All,

Attached are the minutes of our last meeting in various formats.

A few reminders:

1. Our next meeting is Thursday, July 26 at 4:00 Eastern Time. Call info
will go out next week.
2. Please remember to vote on the Charter. We are a little light in
returned ballots!
3. Please send me your ranking of our candidate items and your interest
level. We are a little light on input; however I'm willing to go with what
I have. If you are interested in championing a particular item, please let
me know. Don't assume that the author of a given item has the intention of
leading the effort.
4. We need to start planning our face-to-face. We were looking at the West
Coast the last week of September. (East Coast (Florida) in
December.) West Coasters: if you can host a meeting in that time frame
please let me know. If there is an event happening in that time frame,
please let me know.

1. The meeting was chaired by Lisa Carnahan, US NIST.
2. There was a sense of the group that the draft Charter should be balloted. (A ballot message was sent to the TC. http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/regrep/200107/msg00031.html )
3. Lisa Carnahan asked for Press announcements from the members to populate the OASIS/ebXML Registry TC webpage.
4. Lisa Carnahan indicated that the TC can create a 'developer sharing' webpage in OASIS space. NIST is ready to make one contribution. Lisa indicated that she didn't want the page created until we had more than one item to make available. Please send a description of the contribution to lisa.carnahan@nist.gov.
5. Our developer comment list is ready to go. Anyone can subscribe to the list (i.e., it is not limited to OASIS members). Words will be added to the top of our homepage that will encourage developers to use the list.
6. The group discussed the list of candidate work items. This list can be found at http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/regrep/200107/msg00027.html. The TC enjoyed a lively discussion about each item.
7. Based on the discussion, the chair divided the items into two groups; group #1 having a higher priority than group #2. The groups are:
Group #1 - 2,4,5,6,7,11,13,16
Group #2 - 1,3,8,9,10,14,12
Items 15 and 17 need to be reworded. The author of the text (Lisa) didn't really capture the core requirement within the item.
8. Participants were asked to email the chair their priority ranking of the items and an indication of the items that hold their interest. The chair will then compile a first cut of the items on which we will focus.
9. Our next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, July 26 at 4:00 Eastern. Thus beginning our regularly scheduled conference call meetings. (Every two weeks, Thursday at 4:00.)
