Subject: RE: RIM 1.1 distribution

reply:
While I have not yet taken the time to actually read the new version, I have
a simple question. Early in our coordination meetings, I thought that
several folks (Sally or Ann?) actually volunteered to be editors of the new
drafts of the RIM and RS documents. Am I correct? This may be a moot point
but I though that I'd mention it.

Subject: RIM 1.1 distribution

Team,

Attached is RIM 1.1 with and without change bars. This was a an almost
complete re-write to address the following:

-RIM improvements based on Gallagher, Najmi, Stojanovic proposal as
approved by team and summarized under:

    http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/regrep/200108/msg00006.html

-Minor relaxation in definition of id attribute in RegistryObject to
accommodate the concern expressed by Dan and Len
on need for constraining use (abuse?) of UUIDs

-Readability improvements for ease of understandability goal

My thanks to Nikola, Len, Dan and many of you for your thoughtful
suggestions to help us fine tune the RIM. My thanks to
Len for his patience on these changes and Lisa for her leadership in
bringing many different opinions in near perfect harmony.
My thanks to the team for approving the initial writeup of these changes
in RIM.

BTW We sorely need an issue db and rigorous issue mgt. I will work with
Lisa to get this started.

Please report inconsistencies, errors and omissions.

Regards,
Farrukh
