Subject: RE: [regrep] another bug with Registry.wsdl
Message text written by "Breininger, Kathryn R" > We just all voted on the v2.1 versions of both documents. At some point we need to post what we have done (because meanwhile, the other typos, etc. are not being addressed in a document that is available for people trying to use the specs). Do we keep postponing this? Do we post v2.1, and gather any additional fixes for a v2.2, which would also need to be voted on prior to posting? This re-emphasizes that we need to be very thorough in our analysis and testing, not only of the document itself, but also the files associated with them, prior to voting and posting. <<<< Kathryn - it also re-emphasizes there SHOULD be a simple means to make typo-fixes to documents - other than forcing a complete re-submission and vote. I've proposed to OASIS they change the procedures to allow typo-correction. To ensure safe guards we'd document these as an addendum of changes made since the publish for vote, and then have an additional vote (requiring 2/3rds) on those change fixes - and then lock the document. Nothing is perfect - but at least we can help ourselves here. We just need to avoid that Senate thing - where a bill for adoption of parentless children has a $200 billion line item added to purchase Texas - etc.... DW.
