Matt,

My thought was that we should as a first step provide for
linkage between the two systems.

This would allow cross-referencing of content between 
the two - and for content requests to be routed accordingly.

However - before we try jamming the two worlds into one,
we need to understand a business model and rationale
for so doing.

My take on it is there are two overlapping but different
systems here.  The UDDI replication system being
a clear discriminator.

I also see that a joint position statement that looks at
both technologies and recommends where one is
best suited to task compared to another would
also REALLY help users select the component
to their business needs.

Once we get to this point - then I believe the fogs
clear of themselves and allow us to see where
the path leads after that.

I know that this is a contentious issue, but I would like to get a 
feeling of where everyone stands with regard to the idea of 
interleaving these two standards into one single registry standard. 
What would be the best way to do this?  Should it be done?
