Subject: RE: [regrep] FW: [chairs] Spec/Standard Interop Demo at XML 2003

<Duane>
Would this be a sort of loosely coupled federation model? Something
like Regisry A has an intrinsic Registry Object "X". Registry B and
Registry A have a CPA that allows them to send queries between each
other. Registry B makes an Entry for Registry Object "X" but uses the
HTTP accessor to reference it. A query to Registry A or B to "get" the
RO "X" would result in either Registry sending the get() to the same
location.

Or would you envision something more elaborate?

</Duane>

There would need no prior contract between registries. It would be as
described by Cooperating Registry chapter of ebRS 2.5 (only subset having to
do with inter registry object references). If we want to do more we could
add distributed queries to the scenario and that (dist. query) would need to
be implemented by at least 1 registry. Very losely coupled indeed.
