Subject: RE: [regrep] ACORD Repository Standard
Yeah, unfortunately, I think you hit it right on the head. I was at the ACORD conference in Las Vegas back in May. Once of the sessions I attended was on reliable messaging. During the preso, the guy said that since WSRM wasn't completed yet at the time they had started, that was why they had to roll their own. When I asked during the Q&A why they didn't just adopt ebXML MHS, he flat out admitted that they couldn't use it because MS and IBM didn't support it, so they had to do something in the interim that they could then later migrate towards something backed by them. pk -----Original Message----- From: David RR Webber [mailto:david@drrw.info] Sent: Friday, July 30, 2004 6:15 AM To: Farrukh Najmi; Peter Kacandes Cc: ebXML Regrep (ebXML Regrep) Subject: Re: [regrep] ACORD Repository Standard Farrukh, The issue appears to be that IBM is running the show at ACORD so they are hardly likely to encourage anything remotely relating to ebXML any year soon.
