Subject: RE: [regrep] FW: ACORD Document Repository Interface (DRI) ReferenceGuide
Well, Adobe is an ACORD member. We already have a relationship with ACORD for their forms. We believe that our Form Manager product (which is based on the Reg/Rep) should be useful for insurance companies. Naturally, we'd also like to see it used for these purposes. So, I'll continue to pursue it with ACORD. I will try and find out more details about the repository interop project and try to figure out how to move foward on that. pk -----Original Message----- From: Farrukh Najmi [mailto:Farrukh.Najmi@Sun.COM] Sent: Wednesday, August 04, 2004 8:03 PM To: Peter Kacandes Cc: ebXML Regrep (ebXML Regrep) Subject: Re: [regrep] FW: ACORD Document Repository Interface (DRI) Reference Guide Peter Kacandes wrote: >Hi All, > >I received the attached document from ACORD. > >I've also requested some of the additional technical documentation that is >listed in the spec. such as >RepositoryOperationRq-template_v-1-0-0.xml >RepositoryOperationRs-template_v-1-0-0.xml >Acord-Repository_v-1-0-0.xsd >DRI Implementation Guide > >The spec also reference the ACORD Message Service, which you can download >directly from the ACORD web site at www.acord.org. Having read the documents I can safely say that *EVERYTHING* that ACORD requires (as well as much more) can be handled by ebXML Registry standard out of the box. >I think it would be cool if we could show that there is a way that the >reg/rep could be used for these purposes without a lot of additional work. > >Just an idea. > > I think that is an excellent idea. If someone has contacts in ACORD and can assess the interest level at ACORD then I would consider volunteering to present ebXML Registry to them including a demo that shows how we meet their requirements. The only thing I ask is that there is some PULL from ACORD as my time is fairly committed with many others orgs that are deploying ebXML Registry.
