Subject: FW: [members] Public Review of OASIS ebXML RIM and RS v3.0 specifications

Title: Message
Good morning everyone!
The announcement was made on Saturday for the public review of the specs and the 30 days for the review will run until March 14th.  Are there other groups to whom the announcement should be sent, besides the OASIS members list and announcement lists?  Please let me know what other groups should be notified, and I will send the list to Jamie.

Now we are ready to take comments and work on resolving them in the next few weeks!  At our telecon on Thursday we will also talk about the other requirements for submitting a spec to the OASIS standards process, and begin to work those other items.  Here is the process from the TC Guidelines:  http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/guidelines.php#spectostand

Subject: [members] Public Review of OASIS ebXML RIM and RS v3.0 specifications

To OASIS Members, Announce Lists

The OASIS ebXML Registry TC recently has approved the following specifications as Committee Drafts and have approved them for public review:
OASIS ebXML Registry Information Model (RIM) v3.0 rev 04
OASIS ebXML Registry Services (RS) v3.0 rev 04
The public review starts today, 12 February 2005 and ends 14 March 2005.

Public review from potential users, developers and stakeholders is an important part of the OASIS process to assure interoperability and quality. Comments are solicited from all interested parties.  Comments may be submitted to the TC by any person via a web form found on the TC's web page at
http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/regrep.
Click  the button for "Send A Comment" at the top of the page.

Submitted comments (for this work as well as other works of that TC) Are publicly archived and can be viewed at

Summary:  The ebXML Registry provides a stable store where submitted information is made persistent. Such information is used to facilitate business to business relationships and transactions. Submitted content includes but is not limited to XML schema and documents, process descriptions, ebXML Core Components, context descriptions, UML models, information about organizations, and software components. Metadata, used to describe the stored content, is defined in the Registry Information Model. The interface to the Registry is defined in the Registry Services specification.  Versions 2.0 of RIM and RS were approved as OASIS Standards in May of 2002.  (See http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/tc-announce/200205/msg00004.html.)

The files are available here:  The Committee Draft specifications and related materials are included in   a ZIP file available for public download at
