Subject: Minutes from our last telecon

Thanks Nikola!

Attendees:
Kathryn B.
Monica M.
Ivan B.
Peter K.
Farrukh N.
Nikola S.
Paul M.
Joe C.
Carl M.
1) No comments on previous minutes
2) Nikola is a scribe
3) Comments on WS Profile:
a. Nikola asked about Anne Thomas Manes' comments. Farrukh explained the
distinction between enforced and optional rules. Also, he asked Anne if
she could provide feedback on business rules.
b. Ivan asked about Profile Template usage in WS Profile. Farrukh said
he used the Template and did some changes that he considered Template
improvements. Ivan said that he tried to match specifications. Farrukh
said he changed to Use Cases for real users as he felt it was more
appropriate. Nikola asked about what would be the Generic Template for
Profiles. Farrukh suggested that we should organize it by axes of
extensions. Kathryn suggested that Ivan, Farrukh and Nikola work offline
on this -> agreed.
4) Kathryn reminded the TC that we will need to pick one of the 3 IPR
Modes we (the TC) will operate under and if the team had a chance to
look at the IPR document:
http://www.oasis-open.org/who/intellectualproperty.php; In any case, she
asked team members to start looking into it.
5) Kathryn reminded the team about the OASIS Symposium
http://www.oasis-open.org/events/symposium_2006/ - next May in San
Francisco. She also asked whether we want to have a F2F at that time. A
quick informal poll indicates at least 6 people would be able to attend
a face-to-face meeting in San Francisco. Kathryn will reserve the room
for a face-to-face. Carl asked if we should write a paper for the
symposium. Kathryn said it could be a good idea. Farrukh mentioned that
as far as he knows Raining Data has submitted an abstract.
6) Carl, Monica, Paul cannot make Dec 15, but meeting will be scheduled
as planned.
