Farrukh,

I cannot access the link from behind firewall here - will look later on today.

However - my gut instinct on this says "Yes" - since the simple behaviour of replacing content with new content - as in a database store - probably works for most generic applications - while those explicitly wanting versioning - can then invest in supporting that.

Also - this allows simpler implementations of regrep - where versioning is not a prerequisite.
