I have been reluctant to introduce new features to RELAX NG. If it changes, we need new implementations, tutorials, books, etc. Moreover, some people would argue that RELAX NG is unstable. I think that new features should be introduced only when we have enough usage and implementation experiences to justify the features. Having read this thread, I feel that the RELAX NG community is accumulating such experiences quickly. We probably have to formulate a plan for the next version of RELAX NG in the near future.
