Subject: RE: [saf] CASCON workshop
Hi Mary, Why do we need a Committee Note and not just a Committee Draft
in order to present?? All TC material are public anyway, so a simple CD would
be enough I would have thought. In any case, this is now impossible since the CASCON workshop is
in less than 2 weeks time! The previous OASIS process only had a Committee
Draft and did not distinguish between Notes and Specifications, thus not really
enabling us to approve any slidedecks as Committee Specification –this would
just be absurd! So now with the new process, Committee Notes were introduced,
which are suitable for this purpose, but now there is no time to implement this
process. Regards, Stavros From: Mary McRae

slidedeck will need to be approved as a Committee Note Draft and submitted for
a 30-day public review before being approved as a Committee Note and presented. http://docs.oasis-open.org/TChandbook/Reference/CommitteeNotes.html Regards, Mary Mary P McRae Director, Standards

Hi all, Remember when I
said we have a whole hour to discuss SAF in the CASCON workshop? Well, that's not
*entirely* true: we do have a whole hour, but we won't really discuss
it. We have the keynote slot. This is a good
chance for promoting SAF but makes discussions and feedback a bit trickier, and
I will have to socialize a lot afterwards! In any case, next week I will start
discussions about the presentation and content, although it will of course be
based on our educational slidedeck. Cheers, Stavros
