Hello,
Carol
has been approached again regarding the SAML Demo at the Burton Europe event, http://www.burtongroup.com/catalyst/cateu02/.
Please reply if you are interested in participating in a SAML
Interoperability Demo.
Regards,

Hi Hal - I don't think I heard that Burton was already looking to do this in Europe, but I should have figured that one out.
So, our marketing group has now contacted both Jim and Phil to work out with Burton as to which conference might be appropriate if there is sufficient interest in doing something in Europe. Our interest was simply to keep the SAML exposure up and we don't care whose stage it's on... We'll throw our support behind the Burton event if they want to run it.
Even if all of the previous vendors can't make it, it may still be desirable to go with those that can get there.
I think the timeframe for these events (Sept/Oct) makes it difficult to either expand the scope to different SAML functionality or to open it up to vendors that weren't at the previous one. At least I believe that's the case for us given our schedule pressures, etc.

Hal and Rob, I had this same discussion this morning with Phil Schacter from Burton. He is going to think about it and get back to us (directly or through Jim). Sun is interested in both and similar to Entegrity would attend if there was critical mass regardless. The idea of demonstrating new aspects is interesting, but the work to do it will be similar to what we did the first time. Calculating ROI is still a crap shoot. I'll be curious to see what the rest of you decide. Will we open up the participation again? Don;
