Subject: NEW ISSUE: component type allows to specify wire targets on references
TARGET: SCA Assembly Specification, Component Type definition
DESCRIPTION: The component type XML schema as defined today allows to specify references with explicit wire targets. Those wire targets have no meaning however unless a component has been declared that is associated with the component type. Therefore, a component type creator should have no indication what to specify as wire targets. On the other hand, when reusing components, wire target specifications in the component type may lead to unexpected wiring (or errors). Furthermore, the component type schema is assymmetric since it prohibits the declaration of properties with source attribute.
PROPOSAL: Change the schema so that wire targets cannot be specified.
