I think it reads better if we turn the wording around. The early part of the sentence "...<interface/> of an <implementation/> ..." doesn't read right. Implementation's don't have interfaces, services and references do.

8009:
Tests that when a <component/> <reference/> or <service/> element does not declare a callback interface, the component implementation's <componentType/> <reference/> or <service/> also does not declare a callback interface.

8018:
8009:
Tests that when a <component/> <service/> element does not declare a callback interface, the component implementation's <componentType/> <service/> also does not declare a callback interface

The wording of the descriptions of ASM_8009_TestCase and  ASM_8018_TestCase are poor and 
confusing: 

8009: 
Tests that when an <interface/> element of a <componentType/> <reference/> or <service/> does not declare a callback interface that the  <component/> <reference/> or <service/> element of the <implementation/> used by the <component/> also does not declare a callback interface 

8018: 
Tests that when an <interface/> element of a <componentType/> <service/> does not declare a callback interface that the  <component/> <service/> element of the <implementation/> used by the <component/> also does not declare a callback interface 

...the problem in both cases is the placement of the <implementation/> clause - which should be associated with the componentType 

Proposal: 

Change the wording of descriptions of these testcases to the following: 
8009: 
Tests that when an <interface/> element of an <implementation/> <componentType/> <reference/> or <service/> does not declare a callback interface that the  <component/> <reference/> or <service/> element of the <component/> using the <implementation/> also does not declare a callback interface 

8018: 
Tests that when an <interface/> element of an <implementation/> <componentType/> <service/> does not declare a callback interface that the  <component/> <service/> element of the <component/> using the <implementation/> also does not declare a callback interface
