Discussions relating to Event Processing Proposal (aka "Issue 80")

Folks,

You will note from the agenda for today's
Assembly TC call, that discussions about event processing have been pushed
to the end of the agenda - which means
that we shall not get to them, given all the other items on the agenda.

Martin and myself noted that discussions
on the event processing material are already eating into the time available
for
other work in the regular TC meetings.

So we have allocated meetings in the
timeslot currently used for the Testing Subcommittee call - Wednesdays
at 09:00 Pacific
= 12:00 Eastern / 17:00 UK & Ireland
/ 18:00 Central European, for 1 hour, which we can use to discuss event
processing.

The initial meeting can decide whether
to continue in this way and whether the meeting is a full Assembly TC meeting
or a 
subcommittee - or consider alternatives
such as adding an extra 30 mins to the existing regular weekly calls dedicated
to
Event Processing discussion. 

Folks who are concerned that the work
of the Testing S/C will be delayed need not fear - in fact the testing
work is going to
be an increasing part of the main TC
calls - just look at all the testing related issues that are on today's
agenda, for example.
Now that the test suite has reached
Public Review, we shall need many more issues to control changes to the
test suite 
artifacts - and those issues have to
be voted in the main Assembly TC.
