Subject: NEW ISSUE: Conformance statement numbering
- From: Simon Holdsworth <simon_holdsworth@uk.ibm.com>

TARGET: ws, jms and jca binding cd01
(1 issue each)
DESCRIPTION:
Each binding specification needs to
include in the conformance section a list of conformance requirements.
These need to be extracted from the text of the specification.
PROPOSAL:
Following the precendent of the Assembly
specification:
Number every conformance statement in
each binding spec. Use the following numbering scheme:
[pppsnnnn]
ppp = spec prefix, BWS for web service
binding, BJM for JMS binding, BJC for JCA binding
s = section number
n = index number within section
Add such a number to every statement
in each spec that includes RFC2119 keywords.
Construct a table in the conformance
section with two columns.
First column contains the conformance
statement number, linked to the position in the spec text where the statement
appears.
Second column contains the conformance
statement text, linked to the position in the spec text where the statement
appears.
Update the conformance statements within
the specification text so that the conformance statement text and number
are references to the entries in the table.
Possible extra credit: apply some subtle
highlighting to each conformance statement (very light grey background?)
that gives a visual indication of the start and end of the conformance
statement.
