I have to say that is for discussions like this that desktop sharing technology would help a LOT

[SPEL3011.1] A variable with the sca-bpel:multiReference extension MUST be referenced by one and only one partnerLink element with an sca-bpel:multiRefFrom attribute

furthermore ".. by *the* one and only one pL .. which *it* references" ... ?

As Mike R pointed out, 2 pL's couldn't share the same variable. Does this bother us?

Do we need the ability to have (nested) pL's that don't get exposed

One more comment left - proposal talks about throwing an exception rather than generating an error. Rest of spec talks about generating errors.

(Separate Issue - we don't really say what generating an error means...)

Action: Anish to file a separate issue about what a conformant runtime does when a non-conformant SCA BPEL doc is provided

Danny:

can remove 3005.1 since this case would have been rejected by static analysis

Anish:

reworded 3011.1 takes care of the need for 3005.1. Remove 3005.1

If we are able to characterize property-setting and multiref from as vbl initialization, we should do so, and disallow other initializers on those vbls. I'll raise such an issue.

Najeeb:

I came up with a virtual initialization expression explaining how the variable gets initialized

Don't like example. Problem is in implying $SCARuntime.xxx exists

What about just <from> value that comes from reference </from> ?

Actually, more like <from> value that comes from the reference </from> (italicize the whole line, not just the contents of the <from> tag)

you have an extension element that replaces <copy/>

and that extension element can contain pretty well anything

@Mike - exactly, so it replaces the from and the to, so there's no extension of from itself. So we're good on the proposed wording?
