#106 pending

New issue 58

Issue 58 http://www.osoa.org/jira/browse/BPEL-58
Need to add Capability to indicate that a PartnerLink should be ignored when introspecting the ComponentType of a BPEL process
Email Discussion

Mike, the filer of the issue is not on the call

Danny explains the issue
Danny:
if you have a PL which is used as a local variable. It is not a service, used as a reference and the EPR is assigned from somewhere else.

... currently it is exposed as a reference in the CT and wired in the composite. Which is not what you want.

... so you may want an attribute that says skip/ignore this PL for CT introspection
Anish:
so you don't think a global PL can use such a PL?
Danny:
no, as long as the conditions are met: is a reference etc
<Martin C>
It should be allowed for global PL
Anish:
what if the PL is a service?
<Martin C>
maybe it cant be a service if it has skin on it?
<Martin C>
skip
Danny:
probably part of issue resolution. Thinking that we should leave it to the authors. Could go either way.
<Martin C>
i guess the question is whether ther issue is scoped well enough to allow global pl discussion
Sanjay:
does it mean that this will be like wiredByImpl
Anish:
no in this case it will not appear in the CT

Motion: m: danny s: anish to open issue 58

motion approved w/0
Resolution: issue 58 is opened

issue 52

Dieter is back from LOA

Najeeb explains his changes
Najeeb:
Deleted [SBPEL2004.2]
Najeeb:
Deleted [SBPEL3011]; changed [SBPEL3011.1] to [SBPEL3011] based on the text provided by Mike Edwards regarding multi-reference variable referenced only by one and only one partner link. This is in section 3.2

... made 3011.1 as 3011

... Removed partnerLinkType and partnerRole attributes for multiReference child element at line 290

... removed the syntax extensions for partnerRole and PLT

... changed example (after line 279)

... updated the picture

... at the begining of section 3.2

motion: m: najeeb s: danny resolve issue 52 with the proposal at http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/sca-bpel/200909/msg00017.html

amendment: m: anish s: najeeb make one additional change in the example at the end of section 3.2 -- remove the attributes partnerLinkType and partnerRole on the element <sca-bpel:multiReference>

amendment approved w/o

amended motion approved w/o
Resolution: issue 52 is resolved with the proposal at http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/sca-bpel/200909/msg00017.html + one change noted above

issue 41

Anish:
because of issue 52 resolution we need to make 4 change --

... remove SBPEL2zzzz

... remove the phrase "or the name of the multivalued variable" in the 3rd and 4th subbullet in section 2.3.1

... remove the phrase "and sca-bpel:multiReference/@name attributes" in the 2nd last sentence
Anish:
delta between v2 and v3 is just editorial (especially now that we are getting rid of SBPEL2zzzz)

motion: m: anish s: danny resolve issue 41 with the v3 proposal @ http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/sca-bpel/200908/msg00051.html + 4 changes listed in the chat to get rid of any mention of multiReference/@name attribute

motion approved w/o
Resolution: issue 41 is resolved with proposal at http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/sca-bpel/200908/msg00051.html + 4 changes listed in the chat to get rid of any mention of multiReference/@name attribute

issue 53

BPEL Process: References with Multiplicity 0..1 - how are they supposed to work?
http://osoa.org/jira/browse/BPEL-53
Proposal: http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/sca-bpel/200908/msg00021.html
Danny van der Rijn Congrats and thanks to Najeeb and Anish for shepherding these 2 big issues to completion
Martin C are you calling us sheep
Sanjay:
do we need mikeE/mikeR for this issue?

najeeb describes the issue/proposal
Danny van der Rijn your words, Martin, not mine!
Ashok --- better sheep than goats!
Anish:
i think there is an additional problem. the algorithm does not allow a reference to be both multi-reference and wiredByImpl

... wiredByImpl does not have any restriction in the assembly spec

... since wiredByImpl was introduced for SCA BPEL spec, we better get this right
Sanjay:
let's try to resolve this on the next call, hopefully Michael will be on the call as well

testing

Sanjay:
any thoughts

... do we need to integrate with assembly test suite
Anish:
we do need to be pluggable with assembly test infrastructure
Sanjay:
does it make sense to dedicate time on these calls for testing?

... not many issues left

AOB/straggler?

none

Meeting adjourned
