Subject: NEW ISSUE: How does a SCA Extended WS-BPEL Runtime deal with a non-conformantBPEL process?
Title: How does a SCA Extended WS-BPEL Runtime deal with a non-conformant BPEL process? Target: SCA BPEL C&I Description: The spec says nothing about what a SCA Extended WS-BPEL Runtime must do when it encounters a non-conformant BPEL process containing SCA BPEL extensions. For example, if a PL contains both a sca-bpel:service and sca-bpel:reference attribute, the runtime can just ignore it and deploy the process/component. Other SCA specs have a requirement that the runtimes must raise an error when such problems are encountered. Proposal: Not a specific proposal, but a genera outline -- require the SCA Extended WS-BPEL runtime to generate errors (either at deployment or runtime) when the artifacts used (in our case the process definition) do not conform to our spec. -Anish --
