Subject: NEW ISSUE: Make program-base component implementation support a separateconformance clause

Target: C C&I Specification CD03
Rev 1 and Test Assertions WD08
Description:
The C C&I Specification provides for the optional support of program-based
component implementations. This optional support results in a number
of conformance points, and corresponding test assertions, that are not
relevant if the support is not implemented. The other major optional
capabilities have separate conformance clauses in section 11.2 with the
corresponding conformance points separated into individual subsections
of Appendix F. This is not the case for program-based component implementation
support.
Proposal:
1) Add a conformance clause to section
11.2 stating that a conforming implementation MAY support program-based
component implementations and that this requires supporting the corresponding
additional API functions and relevant conformance points.
2) Remove C60003, as this is now covered
by the new conformance clause
3) Move all of the conformance points
that are specific to this support from the table in Appendix F to a corresponding
table in a new subsection of appendix F.
4) Separate the test assertions for
the conformance points that are specific to this support into separate,
clearly identified subsections of the test assertions document.
