Subject: RE: [sca-policy] ISSUE 56: Intents which conflict with bindingconfiguration
Hi, A new issue has been created in the SCA POLICY TC JIRA. The link to this issue is http://www.osoa.org/jira/browse/POLICY-56 Regards, Kaanu Joshi Software Specialist 001, Ground Floor, South Part A, Electronic Sadan III, TTC Industrial Area, Mahape, New Mumbai, Maharashta, India Extension: 2051 Link Line: 9 605 766 Expect A Miracle! -----Original Message----- From: David Booz [mailto:booz@us.ibm.com] Sent: Friday, May 16, 2008 11:12 PM To: sca-policy@lists.oasis-open.org Subject: [sca-policy] NEW ISSUE: Intents which conflict with binding configuration TARGET: SCA Policy FW spec (any level) DESCRIPTION: The SCA Bindings TC discovered that none of the SCA specs explicitly say that when a policy intent (or policySet for that matter) conflicts with a binding configuration, then an error should be raised or flagged in some way. See http://www.osoa.org/jira/browse/BINDINGS-36 for a description of an example of such a conflict. This issue was resolved in the binding TC with some text that states such a conflict to be an error: http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/sca-bindings/download.php/28233/sca%20bindings%20minutes%202008-05-08.doc. PROPOSAL: Adopt a similar position, i.e. that a conflict is an error. A more formal proposal with textual updates is required.
