Subject: RE: [sdd] Groups - SDD Specification Draft (SDD Specification Draft.doc) uploaded

Just to amplify Debra's call for e-mail
participation:
We agreed during today's SDD telecon
to, for the time being, repeat the nascent process begun last week for
specification review. Briefly, that consists of:
- identifying comments via e-mail
- Julia will "triage" the comments
via e-mail reply, identifying those that can be handled in a straightforward
manner vs. those that merit group discussion in a conference call
- We'll devote sufficient time in future
conference calls to discussing those items that "bubble up" for
group discussion
I think we can strike a balance between
e-mail and telecon discussion with this process. We want to avoid both
inbox clutter and unproductive discussions during the telecons. Of course
we will ensure that all comments are addressed, but we have a lot of work
ahead of us and want to do this as productively as possible.
We will revisit the process once we
have a couple weeks' experience with it (and at that time we probably need
to revisit our project plan also).
In the meantime, additional suggestions
and ideas are welcome.
Thanks.
Regards,
Brent

My comments on this section (excluding the items still
open from the
previous review). I will not be able to attend the call tomorrow
am, as
I am out of the office, so please respond via email.
Thanks,
Debra
Section 2
Informational question? What's the value of the size attribute?
Section 2.1
Re: The length of the shortDescription is not restricted, should it be?
We do not have explicit limits for tool tip information in CA,
but only suggest "short phrases".
Under optional information there is a section on the Version and the Fix
elements, but that isn't represented in the schema above - which is
correct?
Section 2.2
No comments.
Section 2.3
Is this directly from the ACS specification?
Section 2.4
No comments.

Debra

Draft.doc) uploaded
***Please review section 2 in this document and discuss issues via
email.***
This version contains the group 1 sections reworked based on the ACS
alignment. Note that most of the content of the submission draft outline
has been stripped out to make this simpler to review.
