Status of TCADMIN-512, CND Creation / Upload Request for SolutionDeployment Descriptor (SDD) Examples Version 2.0

Hi Brent,

Just a quick note to let you know that I've put a hold on work on the
above ticket. Paul brought several problems to my attention that I'd
like to request be fixed before we move forward. Per Paul, these
problems occur in the directory of 18 example files:

1. Four file names contain SPACE characters: (French Language
Pack.xml, French Language Pack_pkg.xml, German Language Pack.xml,
German Language Pack_pkg.xml) - Kavi lets you do this but it causes
havoc in the OASIS Library when we start loading files with %20;
embedded in their names. To remedy, please insert '-' or '_' in the
names in place of the spaces.

2. At least ten files contain the line:
           http://docs.oasis-open.org/sdd/sdd/v2.0/cnd01/starter-profile/sdd-starter-profile-2.0.xsd
The intended target is:
           http://docs.oasis-open.org/sdd/sdd/v2.0/sdd-starter-profile/v1.0/cnd01/schemas/sdd-starter-profile-v2.0.xsd

BUT the line in the ten files differs from the desired target in two ways:
-  "2.0" in the line in the ten files does not match the "v2.0" in the
actual file
-  the directory path in the line in the ten files does not match the
directory path assigned by TC Administration

As a result of these two problems, those references are broken in the
files. We will work with you in the future to avoid the directory
error by working out the URL ahead of time at your request and
supplying it to you so that you can use it in your reference.

3. The file "implementedBy_pd.xml" has a fatal error detected by an
XML parser, reported as:

>> line 7, column 278   Message: whitespace expected  (Robin can supply more details if needed)

What I am requesting the TC do is (a) remedy these problems in the
working draft files, (b) create a new zip file of the complete working
draft and vote to approve it, (c) update the ticket (
http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/TCADMIN-512 ) with a link to
the approval minutes and a link to the new zip file. Then we will get
the CND's uploaded.

I apologize that this has come up so late in the process. We will do
our best to intercept these problems earlier in the future. If you
need any more detail to help get these sorted out, please let me know
