Subject: RE: [search-ws] Fw: [chairs] TC Support for Non-US Callers
Hello, ah, the joys of teleconferencing! Let me try to explain: "Toll-Free" number means that people living in USA (or UK if it's a UK Toll-Free number) can dial it, but people from other countries will normally get a message saying that they cannot reach the destination from where they are dialing, or if they can get through, they will get charged at normal international rates. "International Number" means that people living in other countries can actually connect to the destination, but will still get charged at normal international rates. It's not an issue for me, as I dial from a VOIP connection where the cost is the same, but perhaps some other people may wish to use this service. I have no idea what makes that an international number. Maybe some of you internationals have an idea. I have no idea what that means. Is the 816 area code some sort of international toll free number?
