The main reason as I understand is one of IPR concerns. OASIS provides the comments lists to each TC to allow anyone to particpate and comment without requiring TC membership. However they MUST accept an IPR related statement before they can post to the list. I believe above is a hard and fast OASIS policy. Mary, please correct me if I am wrong. As a secondary issue, I have not seen the zng list be all that useful in terms of the feedback received so far. Ray echoed those feelings at the last meeting. As a tertiary issue, it is accepted netiquette to not cross post to multiple mailing lists. There are many good reasons for that. This means that many of our threads get posted twice, once on this list and once on zng list. This is a burden.
