Agenda: Same agenda. + call scheduling. Minutes: Present: Ralph, Ashley, Larry, Ray, Matthew. Quorum. 1. Operation and version parameters. We will proceed on the assumption that these two parameters will be removed, unless someone raises the issue further. 2. Query Types: We agree there should be multiple query types. The question is, should there be a queryType parameter, e.g. queryType=cql&query=.. or cqlQuery=. Where the latter case is simplified by eliminating one parameter (queryType) as the query type is implicitly given by the query parameter name. Consensus seems to be the latter case. The question is how to name and discover these query names and definitions. Ralph will post a message to the SRU list to get this discussion revived. 3. Scan operation. It appears that the strong consensus is for Scan to remain a separate operation, rather than represented as a query. Unless there is further discussion the issue will be considered closed. 4. ATOM. The issue is the mandatory elements. Ralph will post a message to the SRU list to revive the discussion. 5. Binary. The opinion is that there is no need for anything explicit in the protocol to support binary data. We should define a schema, or two. One for a simple binary object, and one for binary and XML mixed. Likely one schema can accommodate both, with simple binary object the degenerate case. 6. Next meeting. Tentatively December 13, 2pm.
