Subject: consolidation of spec information in "top-level" document ofmulti-part document
Summary: in relation to questions posted 28-Jun-2011 about consolidating spec information into the Overview document rather than distributing and/or duplicating the same information in all eight (8) parts: in principle, yes, you may do that. Details: See items #10 and #11 for bibliographic reference with the following: "I would still like feedback from you on the question of how much we can consolodate into the Overview document (Part 0) and how much (of the common information) we need to repeat in all of the documents: - acknowledgements - normative references - non normative references - namespaces" If the Overview contains the information for these four required elements, the other 7 (seven) parts of the 8-part multi-part document don't need to duplicate the information. -rcc XSD refs, NSs, citations ===================================================================== 10. question about consolidation of schema URI references and citations Subject: SWS schema (and other) references From: "Denenberg, Ray" <rden@loc.gov> To: "'OASIS SWS TC'" <search-ws@lists.oasis-open.org> Date: Tue, 28 Jun 2011 16:04:05 -0400 http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/search-ws/201106/msg00022.html http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/search-ws/201106/doc00000.doc ACK: http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/search-ws/201106/msg00023.html Fol: http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/search-ws/201106/msg00024.html = [bad from MHonArc] filename == Schemas.doc - schema pointers, take out of the individual specs, list them once in the overview document - consolidating all references and similarly listing then once in the overview document, since there is nearly complete overlap Details: A.
