Subject: Re: [search-ws] Re: searchRetrieve interoperability demonstration
Hi Carol, Chet -
Nevermind about non-members participating, I am hopeful we can get Hopkins and MIT (both members) involved.
I will be away all next week, so I have put together a brief demonstration proposal, attached. It may need more detail, but I wanted to get it out before I leave.
Let me know what you think. If it looks ok, when I get back we can talk about logistics and a date.
Ray

I'm glad the idea of doing a searchRetrieve interop via webinar is appealing.
In order for non-members to participate in the interop, they must be non-commercial, e.g., government agency, NGO, university, research institute. Companies with products that support the standard would need to join OASIS. If you want to share contact info, we're happy to reach out to them.
Jane Harnad can set up all the webinar logistics for the TC and work with you on promotion. We should announce it three weeks in advance, so we can get this on people's calendars. Do you have a date in mind?
Best regards,
Carol
