Comment from: eric@projectliberty.org Name: Eric Tiffany Title: Interop and Conformance Tech Lead Organization: Liberty Alliance Regarding Specification: Metadata The DNS resolution introduction (sect 4) states (lines 1216-1218): "A consumer that supports both approaches defined in this document MUST attempt resolution via DNS before using the "well-knownlocation" mechanism." This seems overly restrictive, unenforcable, and something that should be left as a deployment decision. As an analogy, there are many times when (for good reason) the /etc/hosts table is used to override the addresses that would be obtained from DNS. T
