Subject: Re: [security-services-comment] Inconsisten image formatting SAML2.0 documentation

Thank you for the comments, Felix.Â

It is good to see that the documents from the earlier years of the Security Services (SAML) TC are still being referenced. This "Technical Overview" Committee Draft was published in 2008, and continues to provide a clear technical description of SAML V2.0.

OASIS documents are not modified after publication, so no attempt will be made to update the existing document.Â

The Technical Committee itself was closed by Project Administration on 08 July 2023, and there is currently no further work planned on the TC's many work products.

However, comments on the existing documentsÂwill continue to be accepted in this comment list.

Best regards,
Paul

To whom it may concern,

the HTML page for the SAML 2.0 documentation at https://docs.oasis-open.org/security/saml/Post2.0/sstc-saml-tech-overview-2.0-cd-02.html,
contains inconsistent image formatting.

First, the image at paragraph "5.3.2 SP-Initiated Single Logout with Multiple SPs" is styled with "width=100%", which makes it stretch across the whole page/screen and is hard to look at. The other pictures are styled using absolut pixel values, which isnÂt the best way to do it, however it's better than making the picture stretch across the whole screen.

Then the image at paragraph "5.4.4 Federation Using Transient Pseudonym Identifiers" is left bound, whereas most images seem to be somewhere in the middle, making this one stand out.

That is all, thank you for reading my benign complaint.

With kind regards
Felix Lanz
