Subject: RE: Submission to RSA Conference?
Jason, Good, great people think alike ! We should definitely co-ordinate. Let us see how it develops. It is possible that my paper might get thrown out. May be we should present as a panel. Or I could take the special case of web services and you could take the general case. And it is possible that more folks have submitted papers - in that case a panel would be a good choice. cheers |-----Original Message----- |From: ROUAULT,JASON (HP-FtCollins,ex1) [mailto:jason_rouault@hp.com] |Sent: Monday, July 09, 2001 10:35 AM |To: Krishna Sankar; Mishra, Prateek; Jeremy Epstein; oasis sstc |Subject: RE: Submission to RSA Conference? | | |Krishna, | |I have also submitted an abstract for such a talk in the Developer's |track. I was also intending on presenting some use cases and SAML |examples. | |Jason | |-----Original Message----- |From: Krishna Sankar [mailto:ksankar@cisco.com] |Sent: Monday, July 09, 2001 11:31 AM |To: Mishra, Prateek; Jeremy Epstein; oasis sstc |Subject: RE: Submission to RSA Conference? | | |Hi, | | That was part of my intent - a developer's talk which is more or |less a |standards talk in some sense, but definitely not a "pure" standards track |talk. My plan is to go over the use cases & solutions, not all |use cases but |enough to illustrate *all* the facets of SAML. I am bullish on |sessions as |well, sessions as context carriers across web services, so might get some |points from Gilbert. | | I think by targeting the talk to developers, we can bring out the |whys, |whats and hows better. Also the timing is right, by February, we |would have |the SAML standard as well as some mature products. So when the developers |ask the inevitable question "What can I do now ?", we will be in |a position |to point at some products (and even some actual production |systems which are |using SAML). | | Would appreciate any comments. | |cheers | | |-----Original Message----- | |From: Mishra, Prateek [mailto:pmishra@netegrity.com] | |Sent: Monday, July 09, 2001 10:00 AM | |To: 'Krishna Sankar'; Jeremy Epstein; oasis sstc | |Subject: RE: Submission to RSA Conference? | | | | | |I guess the question is: is anyone planning to | |give a "standards track" presentation on SAML at RSA? | | | |This is distinct from specific dev. or product-oriented | |presentation.
