Subject: Core-03 draft(s) available
Just to clarify what you're seeing here: Because there were a couple of fairly comprehensive structural additions this time around, and because of some artifacts of the internal editorial process, we ended up with 02->03 change bars in *two* separate documents. You'll want to make sure to look at both if you're being a good do-bee and reviewing all spec changes: 03-interim-diff: http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/security/download.php/5181/sstc-saml-core-2.0-draft-03-interim-diff.pdf This one contains the name identifier and issuer change bars. It's not an official draft in the chain; this PDF is just for your convenience. 03-diff: http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/security/download.php/5180/sstc-saml-core-2.0-draft-03-diff.pdf This one contains the remaining changes, which pertain to the federation protocol. It's the real final document in the 01->03 chain so far. In future, we'll ensure that each rev is cohesive. I will follow up in a separate message with a summary of the current state of the type hierarchies in the core spec... I expect to put out a core-04 in the next few days with minor (mostly editorial) nits fixed and, hopefully, with XML instance examples added. Focuses on the new name identifier/issuer stuff and related items. The change bars here are just half of the rev 03 changes.
